I have been working in the garden so much this week. It’s exciting, the trees are finally starting to wake up, our square foot garden is starting to come along, and I’ll have a story up on that very soon!
Its been a week of nonstop planting for me. The front yard beds have been redone, and they’re all ready for spring and summer. I’m (impatiently) waiting for a few more trees to leaf out and the grass to fully green so I can get some exterior house photos up soon!
We’ve planted peppers, tomatoes, herbs, and a few other things. I love gardening, but I’m actually ready for a break. I’ve been stung by a record number of things the past few weeks, and I’m ready for my nails to look nice again. Here’s a little preview. Shout out to these tomatoes for enduring 83 mile per hour winds the night they were planted! I don’t like tomato cages, I’m hoping the stake zip-tie method works out. I’ll let you know.
My office is coming along slowly, I found this grey moroccan rug at Amazon,
and the Genevieve Desk from Ballard Designs. I love the pretty dainty desk legs. I’m hoping these purchases will help get the ball rolling on the entire office.
Today’s a rare cooler day in March compared to the high 80’s we’ve been having so I thought I better make my sweet potato turkey chili one more time. It’s pretty easy…after prep work you just throw it in the slow cooker for 4-5 hours. Which is great because I have a mountain of laundry to tackle. Heres a link to the recipe: Slow Cooker Sweet Potato Turkey Chili
Hopefully it doesn’t storm on us this weekend we have some ground work left to do in the garden still. You’ll see more progress soon! I hope everybody has a fabulous weekend!
