Hey…how was your Black Friday? Have you recovered from all the shopping and the insane sales? Or did you just stay in bed and binge on Christmas movies? I wanted to get this Fall Bootie Favorites post up a little earlier (I already have Christmas brain fog starting) but with the delay many styles have now made it into Black Friday sales, so yay for that!
When it comes to fall footwear booties are rocking it in my world. Whether leather or suede, I love ’em all! Booties pretty much go with everything from jeans to skirts and dresses. Plus, I can have warm feet while I look cute. I’ve specifically been rocking the Vince Camuto booties this season! You go Vince! I have to confess I’ve avoided light colored suede shoes for a long time for fear I’d ruin them, but this year I decided to go for it. Before wearing my suede booties I did spray them with a water protector and buy a suede cleaning kit and I’ll talk more about what I used below.
So far they’re all wearing great. The taupe booties I’m wearing here I spilled water all over while taking a drink from my water bottle (see what I mean I’m a klutz) but within an hour the water spots dried and I was able to brush them out with my suede brush. So I feel good to go, but hopefully I can be more careful in the future…hopefully.
These Vince Camuto booties I’ve worn so much lately. I love the detailing and the open sides. They come in 3 different colors. I was torn between the taupe and the grey…so naturally I bought both. Both are such great neutrals, how do you even decide? These are currently on sale so if you love them act quickly!
My jeans are really long and sometimes it’s an awkward transition, so I like to go with the double small cuff or the large single cuff, sometimes I’ll scrunch them at the bottom.
I’m surprised how well these are holding up because I’m really hard on my shoes. I have gotten scuffs on the suede from getting in and out of the car and brushing up against curbs, but with a dry suede brush I’ve gotten all the marks out. I’m using the Jason Markk Suede Cleaning Kit, and the spray I use to protect the suede is the UGG Protector Shoe Spray. I’ve been using the same bottle for years but I also see that UGG makes this Care Kit which also looks like a great option. Whatever route you go for suede I think you’ll be fine.
