3 WAYS TO WEAR A MAXI DRESS IN THE SPRING

Today we’re talking about one of my favorite things to wear, and that would be the maxi dress.  I wear the heck out of them in the summer, but I’m also known to wear them spring and fall as well.  So I thought it would be fun to do a 3 ways to wear a maxi dress in the spring.  Spring meaning it’s still a little chilly out, and ways I like to layer up a maxi dress until warm weather really kicks in.  This is one of my very favorite maxi dresses, I bought it years ago and it’s still available.  It’s strapless so it works so well with a sweater or a jacket, another bonus is that it has a raw edge hem, so you can just cut it to the length you need!

This 4 way cardigan is a favorite of mine to wear with maxi dresses.  It’s great for spaghetti straps, sleeveless, and strapless.  It gives great coverage when you need it.  I’m wearing the sheer version, there’s also a heavier version, and new colors come out every season.  I’m obsessed with this necklace by the way, you’ll be seeing it a lot more!

When Brian was taking my picture he told me to get on the bike.  I’m pretty sure he was serious too.  I love maxi dresses but yeah….you can’t ride a bike in them!  I love this bright yellow clutch, it’s such a happy color.  These denim jackets I’ve mentioned before, they run small, you really need to order a full size up.

These light weight floral scarves, so perfect for spring and summer, and this straw clutch I’ve been wearing with a lot of looks on Instagram.  It’s working hard and I’ll probably carry it even more this summer, I love the texture it gives to an outfit.

It does have little cut outs in the back, which are so cute to show in the summer.  You can still wear a strapless bra and unless the band is very thick it’s hidden between the cutouts.  Of course if you wear with a jacket it’s not an issue.

It’s one of the longest maxi dresses in my closet, you certainly don’t need to wear them as long as I am.  It’s a personal choice.  I have others that hit near the ankle, but this one is my favorite.  Surprisingly after 2 seasons of it brushing against the ground it’s still fine.  If the ground looks dirty you’ll see me holding some fabric up in my hand.  So I hope this gave you some ideas for wearing a maxi dress in the spring.  You can find maxi dresses that compliment every body shape and haha – they’re great to wear when you haven’t shaved your legs!  Yep I said it!  Enjoy your weekend!
