CARDIGAN WEATHER IS FINALLY HERE

I don’t know about you but we’ve had non-stop rain for days, my rain boots have gotten so much action lately!  So welcome to a dry fashion post… haha.   As fun as it is for us Texas girls to get out our rain boots, I’ve got to say it’s been great to finally switch up my footwear.   With all the rain we’ve had consistent cooler temps and that’s been awesome.  I can now say without a doubt where I live cardigan weather is finally here!

When it comes to weekend fall weather it’s all about cozy cardigans, am I right?  I recently ordered this grey cardigan in my usual size, and not knowing much about the sizing or quality I wasn’t sure what to expect.  When it came in I loved it so much I ordered the black, red, and pink.  This is one of those sweaters that stretches out a little (in a good way) with wear so if you order one and it feels a tad snug in the arms or shoulders, have no fear it will have some give real soon.

It’s looked so cute with a cami top & jeans, dresses, and with leggings too, plus it’s soft.  Ugh.. I can’t do itchy sweaters, on sale under $35 it’s a steal too!

And I’m sure you’re well aware of how leopard print has clawed it’s way into a huge fall trend.  I mean does leopard ever go away??  Thank goodness NO!!  But when it’s having a major trend moment suddenly it explodes everywhere in stores, and you’ll get no complaints from me.  I absolutely love the variety everywhere.

I posted this leopard cardi on Instagram the other day and it’s absolutely a favorite – it also fits true to size.  I was on the fence about buying it in New York while shopping with my sister.  I don’t know why that was, I loved it… thankfully my sis encouraged me to buy it.  For whatever reason I just wasn’t in a big shopping mood but I’m so glad I have it now.  I get in moods where I want to buy literally everything I see or nothing at all.  It’s weird… and scary haha.

I paired it with my favorite J.Crew camisole, I’m ALWAYS on the lookout for cami tops to layer up just based on their versatility, and this black one I’m particularly pleased with.  It’s really pretty in gray and pink too.

The boots are a few years old and sold out, but there is a similar pair here and this pair here is currently on sale.

I’m also pumped I found some new jeans, at the Nordstrom rewards party yesterday, I’m excited to mix them into my wardrobe.  If you saw on my Instagram Friday and Saturday I was in San Antonio with Brian and Ashley.  He had a continuing ed class to attend so we spent some mama daughter time on the Riverwalk.  She needed to get away from school and have a mental health day!  We did a little fall shopping for her too, she picked out a great blazer, jeans, and some booties.  She’s got great style for 14!

Have a great week, I’ll be catching up on Europe posts towards the end of the week, but first I’m hoping to show you my spice cabinet project that Brian helped me with.  I need to add another coat of paint and then I’ll be ready to show you.
